
The only (reasonably) understood option is All-Out Warfare, which EA calls a continuation of the Conquest and Breakthrough modes in earlier Battlefield games.


It's all but certain that one of these modes will be free to the public, based on the evidence so far. It's known, for example, that the game will be multiplayer-only and have three key modes.

Battlefield 2042 was finally confirmed by EA and Dice on June 9, and more details are emerging about the online shooter even as the gaming industry comes out of E3 2021.
